Fire! Red Sun

This morning I sat down to work and noticed that the sky had a goldish glow to it. I then went to look out a back window and was amazed to see the sun glowing red like a burning ember. Here are two pictures I shot on "auto" and are completely unretouched. The sky's a little dark in these shots because I exposed for the sun so you could see its deep red glow. It's a very strange sight.

This should give you an idea of how much smoke and ash are in the skies around us from all the fires, especially the Modjeska Canyon fire.

Last night another fire broke out on Camp Pendleton.
